Breast is Best began from the frustration I had in trying to find appropriate clothing for breastfeeding after the birth of my daughter Hannah in 1994. Local stores offered little variety or styles that were too 'motherly.' Ordering from any mail order company turned out to be an expensive alternative. Appropriately, it was nine months after my daughter was born that Breast is Best was itself "born" out of necessity. With the birth of our son Jack in 2001, I've rediscovered my own personal needs for breastfeeding clothing once again.

At its inception, my husband Doug and I envisioned Breast is Best as a mail order company that would host its own home parties to encourage sales. Now, the demand for our products has now become such that many women have also represented our line across Canada, the United States and beyond. We are also featured in a number of retail stores throughout North America. Our line is also featured in the catalogues of several other mail-order companies.
